ISLAND TIME

This is our second full day on Kauai and the laziness factor is off the charts.  Laziness is trending toward nap, with an upswing of so what.  A volley of Wham-O! bubbles just floated past our deck, and the Royals are up 9-1, after hitting around in the 6th.  Elliot Johnson clubbed a three run bomb against his old club to put us up 8-0.  Santana has more run support in this game than in his typical three. 

A certain level of couch time earned today after our day yesterday (full day 1), which we filled up admirably with activities.  A long walk on the beach, a swim, and drive up the North side of the island to the end of the road and the Hanakap'ai Trail, where we did a four-miler in afternoon sun and got pretty well blasted.  Well, with snorkeling and swimming, I got burnt pretty good.  We drove home listening to Alice Cooper's radio show and stopped at a cool coffee shop in Kapaa.  I saw this amazing chair back and thought of Derek Trost.
