It did my soul good to take a ramble in the KC River Market district yesterday evening, while Tracy was getting a haircut. It felt like a long while since I'd taken an idle walk in a different neighborhood (excluding New Orleans, between the holidays).
Working from home, it is easy to get into a monotonous routine. We got takeout from the always excellent Vietnam Cafe and a drink at Brown and Loe. I had some concoction made with cider, calvados, cinnamon vodka, sherry, and apple butter. It was dark and sweet and perfect for a winter night.
