Yesterday I started feeling spring around the corner. Squids had a practice and we ran through the We Live In A World That Is Out Of This World LP songs along with four new songs that won’t be on the live album of new material, Serve Without Delay cuz we ran over them with the clam caravan that night. They’ll make a cool EP.
We rested the LP songs when shows became unviable, in March, and set to practicing all the new songs that ended up on the live album. So old tunes from We Live In A World That Is Out Of This World were fun to play again this week. Some of them had been in our set going on five years.
This all sounds pretty productive, but I have definitely had winter time mashed potato psyche. We have all been under sustained stress in our own particular ways, going on a year now. Anybody’s got the right to check out once in a while.
We check out at home with Borgen, a Danish political drama, on Netflix. NERDS!!!!!!!!
I check out solo with all the Korean films on Kanopy. Ghosts seeking justice is a frequent theme.
