I did some more fishing yesterday on the Ouchita River and caught a little smallmouth bass (I think). The river is really high and fast so we can’t kayak and fishing is messed up but I found a little spot near where we are staying with a sort of protected tiered put-in and ended up floating a bobber. It felt like a little hobbit refuge, very peaceful, and Tracy read Jim Harrison while I putzed around with my dad’s old tackle and a reel I got at Scheels last week.
I am worried about my Oregon people who may lose property in the fire disaster.
